Here’s a guide to planning your ideal vacation to Kerala without the need for a travel agent! The best time to visit is from December to February.

You can start either from cochin and end at Trivandrum or vice versa

Start from cochin (if you wish to see museums and church)

Hotel/resort price book online or contact directly to property whichever deal you get best after bargaining on call.

Start from Munnar 2 nights (dew drop farm resort where i stayed)

· Go for sightseeing (take safari to see points and plantation)

· Next day resort has its own plantation, surrounded by tall trees. The morning walk I took was truly amazing.

· Then you can go for Muttu putty dam, their government has facilities for boating go for only that not in private and do speed boat best experience it will cost you around Rs. 910 for 5 person single boat(if you are less people and prefer sharing boat with other people then go for it to spend less).

· Visit rose garden and top station.

Thekkady (1 night ) if you want to rest and party you can also prefer 2 nights

Place I stayed was a little expensive but good ambience and you can enjoy and rest peacefully plus homemade food and also they will give a tour to there plantation ( coffee and pepper farm Homestay)

· You can go and visit shows like kathakali and kalagiri(martial art) they are worth watching as you can see tradition of kerela.

· For an exhilarating wildlife experience, consider visiting Periyar National Park during the early morning hours. To bypass potential queues and ensure a smooth entry, it’s advisable to book your tickets in advance, as the park operates on timeslots. With luck on your side, you may have the opportunity to witness a variety of animals in their natural habitat.

· You can also skip the above part and go on tracking at periyar national park depending on how many days you are planning to stay there as per your choice.

· Thekkedy has a good market for spices and coffee, you can visit lords shop which is recommended and I had a good experience for spices.

· Also perriyar national park has jungle tracking for 2 days and one night if you are interested in that you can skip on the stay at hotel.

From there if interested in staying at houseboat then only go to alleppy (you will have to book a houseboat in advance)or you can also go to waynad another hill station where there activities for some adventures.

From there you can go to Kanyakumari in (TN), where there is shakti pith temple of kanya kumari and see sunset.

· You can stay there for one night very decent and reasonable hotel you will get for 1 night near the ghat.

· Next day see the beautiful sunrise you will feel the bright sun coming from ocean as it is the sangam of 3 oceans. After that take a boat and see vivekanand rock and leave for kovalam.

While going to kovalam in between there is poovar backwaters do visit that bargain for boat price.

· They will explain you the points and they are really beautiful and worth watching.

From there you can go kovalam(2 nights )

· I stayed at hotel flora inn near lighthouse beach which was decent and quit affordable.

· Similarly I will suggest to find hotel near beach to enjoy the stay.

· Here its your choice you can take 1 night also as there are only beaches in kovalam to enjoy.

From there you can go to Trivandrum to catch flight or train as it is just 20 km from kovalam.

Also in Trivandrum there is a very famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple if you want to visit then stay 2 days in kovalam and 1 day early morning by 5 am you can go there and come back to beach.

Consider carrying fruits during your travels to stay hydrated, especially since the weather in Kerala cities tends to be hot. Enjoy your journey exploring the southernmost part of India!
